Families can be together forever

One of the central beliefs in our Church is the doctrine of eternal marriage and eternal families.  This means that families can be together forever beyond this life.  That’s why when Andrew and I got married we chose to do it in the temple.  There are temples for our church all over the world- literally.  We believe that temples are the only place on earth where families can be sealed together past ‘till death do you part.’

Having Audrey now makes this all the more real to me.  I’m so grateful for the knowledge I have of eternal families.  We call it celestial families as well.  I think the reason I can say that I know it’s a true thing is because of the overwhelming love I have in my heart for Audrey and Andrew and the rest of my family.  Without them life is pointless to me.  I know that God intended us to be together.  So, it doesn’t make sense to me that he would allow us to be separated after death.  He has blessed us with this ability to love each other so much and so deep.  He loves us and wants us to be happy, so he gave us each other to love and care for and I truly believe that he does not just take it away when we die.  That’s why I know it’s true.

I love Andrew and I don’t just want to be with him in this life.  I want to be with him to infinity and beyond!  So we had our marriage sealed in the temple and through that Audrey is sealed to us as well.  We will have her forever and ever.  Literally.  People can also be sealed after they’ve already been married for a while and receive that same promise of being with each other forever- spouses and children.

These past two years of marriage have been the happiest years of life for me.  I think the reason is because of the little ways we show our love for each other.  I think it’s those little things that keep love for each other alive in a marriage.

This little video of real couples express many of the things I’ve said here!  I just love love J

I know that these things are true!  I want everyone to know it too...I want everyone to be able to have these great and wonderful blessings.  To be with the person you love forever...your spouse, your children, your parents, your siblings.....it's worth everything to me.

"It just has to be forever.  It wouldn’t make sense for us to come this far and have it get this good and have it end with death."
