I wish I could be more creative with my blog and blog about cool things I'm interested in or have opinions about. Maybe I'll find the time someday someday.

Anyways though, we are moving. Sad...but our new apartment is right upstairs! We are going to be one of two RA couples for the apartment complex we live in. This basically just means we help people who lock themselves out and we close the pool at midnight. Things like that. Sounds simple, but I really am kind of nervous. We also have to be curfew monitors for the hundreded plus single students who live here- boys and girls. That I'm not excited about. But there are a lot of benefits to the job which I will probably blog about later.

The point of this post is that we are going to be leaving the very first home we have ever been able to call our own. I am a very sentimental person and so even though we are moving just upstairs, I am a little nostaligic. Lately we've gotten into this evening routine of dinner, homework, playing games and watching Home Improvement on TV Land at nine while eating dessert. Then sometimes we either do more homework or we watch an episode of something before going to bed- Phineas and Ferb, Avonlea, Monk, Psych, or Once Upon A Time. It's been a pretty good life here on the bottom floor and I think I'm going to miss it.

But I know that this is the first of many moves in our life, so I should probably not get all choked up over it! Because when I get sad about it I have to remind myself that I never intended for us to stay here forever- to raise kids here or have family come stay would be impossible. So I've accepted this change and I am excited about it as well. Because I have never in my life really moved a whole household like this. I've always moved in and out of apartments with roommates and in and out of my parents house, but this will be the first time moving the entire contents of every room- and have it all be my stuff! And by 'my' of course I means ours. It's crazy to me how much stuff we've already accumulated.

In about a year I know we will be moving again, and I'll probably be all sad again because I will have grown fond of and become comfortable at our new place. But for now, and probably forever, this apartment will always hold a special significance for me. It's the place where Andrew and Hillary really became Andrew and Hillary. We stayed up late talking, we made our own real meals, and we found out we could take care of ourselves and we could take care of each other in good times and bad. Yup, this has been a special place. Goodbye our teeny little first apartment! Thank you for helping us become us.

So for the past 3 years or so Conference Weekend has been a big event at my place. And my 'place' has changed many times in those 3 years, but has still always been full of friends and family that one weekend of the year. When we got married of course many things changed, BUT I am happy to report that the Conference Weekend tradition has not!

This time Ray and Natalie came to visit from Mesa! It was so awesome to see them, but by the time they left it just made us wish they lived closer. That's one good thing about Andrew's parents moving to Tucson- that means we can see those Hamblins more often! While they were here Natalie and I were able to see some of our old bestest best best friends! Ellen who is on a mission at Temple Square, Jan, Mariah, and Lexus who all live in the Salt Lake area. It was so fun to see each other again after so long. We spent half the weekend reminiscing about when we all lived together in downtown Salt Lake. Natalie even cried when she saw Ellen as a missionary! Oh Salt Lake has been so good to us all.

Conference was lovely as usual. Andrew and Ray got to go to the Priesthood Session Saturday night and on Sunday morning we had the Provo-dwelling Chandler cousins over for Conference breakfast and to see Natalie and Ray off. Earlier in the weekend Natalie and I were able to spend some one on one time together hanging out and going shopping. I miss having family near me. I always had at least one sister around at a time- first Julia, then Natalie, then Mariah. Being with Natalie made me miss having that sister-kind-of-friendship nearby whenever I needed it. It was one of the best weekends we've had in a long time.

I only got pictures of the day we went to Temple Square but here they are! As always there aren't any pictures where Natalie is just smiling like a normal person. But then again, I don't think Natalie is a completely normal person.

And Julia and Lester will be coming next weekend for Easter and a wedding!
