This is my thought today.

Sometimes I feel like I’m watching myself in a fish bowl. I can see myself doing these things. I see myself running into the same glass wall over and over again knowing from past experience that it won’t move. But for some reason still thinking that maybe I’ll be strong enough the next time a crash my head into it. It’s almost as if I’m watching a movie about somebody else. Trying to look at the things I’m doing and the way my life is going from an outsider’s perspective. Like if I was someone watching this person what would I be thinking? What advice would I give? Sometimes it’s so obvious that I’m wondering why I’m such an idiot in the first place.

Wouldn’t it be great to have a documentary about your own life?

In college you get a group of friends who pretty much become your family. I've had a lot of "college families" over these two years, but this is the first time I have a blog to write about them on!

Our friend Jan went on her mission TODAY. She's off to Carlsbad, California to preach the good word. But before she left we had ourselves a big family bonfire! It was actually more like a teeny flame in her backyard firepit, but we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and a good enough time that I feel justified in calling it a bonfire.

Good luck Sister Millburn!

It's a Wednesday night. Ten o'clock, Utah time. I'm home on my red couch. My phone rings. I answer it. As soon as I say "Hi Sam," the phone is ripped from my hands and my friends are standing there fighting over who gets to talk to her. I think it's official. My friends like her better than they like me.

None of them have ever met her before, but they tell me all the time that she is the best kid they know. I think it's so funny when my roommate Ellen says "Is that Sam? Lemme have a speak at her." She asks all about her Zebra named Amber, her spirit points at school, and if any boys are giving her anymore problems. I just love that they can see how AMAZINGLY COOL (as Samantha says) she is even from a million miles away!

A lot of people love Samantha and I bet she doesn't even know it. The other day Natalie and I were talking about weddings and she started naming off the bridesmaids she wants at hers someday. Samantha was one of them. I think she'd be surprised to know that. Surprised and ecstatic!

Samantha you are very popular here. Whenever a new person comes into our group my friend Jan says, "Oh you haven't talked our friend Sam yet, have you? Hillary gimme your phone real quick." WE LOVE YOU SAMANTHA!
