On Wednesday I have some girl's night plans with old friends! My friends Courtney Holden and Natalie Weber and I are going on a date to see The Blindside movie with Sandra Bullock at the dollar theater. These are some of the people I feel that I have been blessed with during this difficult time. To get 're-aquainted' with them and to have time away from the less-good habits I have.

Courtney is a really wonderful friend. She and I are some of the very few left at the BC from the old days. We never really hung out as good friends until now, because we were always part of different groups. But now we’ve suddenly got this bond. We remember the same people, the same experiences, the same fun crazy times. And we're both in the same "whats the point of making new friends" kind of phase. Anyways we’ve been hanging out a bunch, and I just love her. She’s helped me through this semester.

Natalie Weber is our Relief Society President! And she is amazing as well. Always so sweet and happy. She just makes things good. The other day as I was feeling awkward and nervous to be around a certain person, she noticed my insecurity and said "Hill, it's you and me baby! I won't leave your side tonight."

My friend David hugged me and told me we would have a good long talk. My friend Derek gave me a big hug and happy, spiritual pep talk. My roommate Ellen tells me everyday to be happy and keep going. My buddy Joseph B. Wirthlin says "Sunday will come."

I truly am blessed to have all these little things people say and do. It just lifts me up a lot more than they probably realize.

SUNDAY WILL COME.
Always subject to change. I ended up spending the majority of the day with Natalie. Just the two of us. That doesn't happen very often because we are always surrounded by random people. But todaaay, we woke up around the same time, left together to the Plaza, ate lunch together at the school, went to the mall together, had a temple square picnic together, hung out in the Joseph Smith Building together, then came back to my place and watched Gilmore Girls and did homework together.

By then other people were starting to come into the mix. But it was good while it lasted. Good to talk about things that others either don't remember or just don't get. As we were getting ready we were both singing "Popular" from Wicked in nasaly high pitched voices. Some things people just wouldn't understand.
I'm going to start writing more about how I spend my time these days.
Today...well first of all I missed my first and only class of the day. So instead of staying in bed all hours, feeling dumb, I've gotten up and decided to be productive. I have big plans for myself now!

First, to start off my Hillary day, I'm going to go grab myself a delicious cinnamon roll from JB's restaurant and some chocolate milk. I will take that spectacular meal and go find myself a grassy spot on Temple Square where I will do tons and tons and tons of MATH homework. I really have to master this stuff for the test I'm taking on Wednesday, cause if I dont do well on this test, I don't pass the class, and then I don't graduate come April. Which would be quite unfortunate indeed. From there, I will jump on Trax and walk to Smiths where I will buy some bran new TOOTHPASTE and other such groceries. I'm going to try to tap into my creative gene and come up with cute invitation ideas for Julia's bridal shower next weekend.

I guess those are my only definite plans for the day, and they are almost definitely subject to change. Not too exciting, huh? But it's PERFECT for me. Walking wherever I want, however slow I want, listening to whatever songs I want, and taking my sweet sweet time.

As Phineas and Ferb say, "Today is going to be the best day ever. And tomorrow will likely be a million and six times better!!!"

I have been having a very hard time this last week with a number of different things. But through it, good things have come. One of the main changes with my new situation has been the friends I have here. I have been able to find new relationships in friendships I already had. This is my friend Adella. We've found out that we are both in the same boat in a lot of ways and we have been able to reconnect on a different level. With trials come blessings, right? Adella is a blessing.

She posted this picture on facebook with this quote as the caption:

"Your heart just breaks, that's all. But you can't judge, or point fingers. You just have to be lucky enough to find someone who appreciates you.”

- Audrey Hepburn

And then underneath that she said:

"Our time will come. :)"

I love her. And the GOOD friends I have here.

"Well who takes care of you?"
"The same one who takes care of the lilies of the field, Mr. Poppins."

That's from the movie "You Can't Take It With You" with Jimmy Stewart, Lionel Barrymoore, and Jean Arthur.

I have found a new interest: anthropology. It’s basically just learning all about different cultures. Anthropologists go and live with a group of people of a different culture and learn all there is to know about them by experiencing it firsthand.

I have this weird fascination with ‘alternate lifestyles.’ No, don’t worry no gayness or anything like that. I like to learn about the other ways people live. I'm learning about gypsies right now. The legit ones, not the big beaded, belly dancing, fortune telling swindlers. These real ones seem to have spiritual values in mind more than typical American people. I think I like it because it’s such blatant faith. No reservations, no overthinking, no doubts. The gypsies just roam around from place to place not worrying too much about where their next meal is going to come from. Like 3rd Nephi 13:25-34.

“28. Consider the lilies of the field how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin;
30. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is and tomorrow is cast into the oven, even so will he clothe you, if ye are not of little faith.
34. Take therefore no thought for the morrow, for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.”

Living that way, even if for a short while, appeals to me. Maybe I will become an anthropologist someday!
