Mornings. And a blog post by Audrey.

I'm in a comfortable sleep.  Not deep, but comfortable.  He starts crying and I feed him then lay down with my arms around him in a cuddly hug as he drifts back off to sleep (sometimes).  He's very squirmy, in a very light sleep, and I know the moment I close my eyes, he'll open his.  So I look at my phone, Facebook, Instagram, to kill that few minutes before he falls into a deeper sleep.  And then I stop myself and pull up LDS tools instead.  1st Nephi 11.  I read some verses.  Then let myself fall back asleep as I think about what I read.  Soon the girls are in the bed with us- definitely not sleeping.  We get up, come downstairs, and I get cereal going- one handed with baby boy in the other.  Loud, energized, well-rested little girls bouncing around me like excited puppies.  I'm tired.  But I feel peaceful.  Because of scriptures.  And I scream in my head "REMEMBER THIS HILLARY!!!"  Remember that, amid the chaos of life, I can feel peaceful if I put first things first.
