Christmas with the Dobbins was so fun and warm! Everyone was able to come to Utah for it. We split the festivities between our house and Brittney and Alex's. Our time together consisted of Christmas singing, snowy pond walks, the Layton Lights, an aquarium visit (just with little cousins a few days before everyone came to town), delicious food, games, movies, present exchanging, family pictures by Cassie, and everyone's favorite new tradition- blindfold karaoke!
One of the highlights for me was watching our kids open their gifts on Christmas morning. Hyrum, Joselid, and Jamalet (Joselid's sister) were the ones staying with us Christmas morning. Eli's main gift was a train table (secondhand) which is just his dream come true! Audrey and Hannah's main gift was one close to my heart- in a more literal sense than you would think. We got them some secondhand good quality American Girl type dolls, fixed them up and gathered clothes and accessories over the year, from farmer's markets, DI, and other places. The special part was that we were also able to gift them the doll clothes my mom had made for me when I was a kid! I loved my Molly doll and all things American Girl, but the clothes and accessories were SO expensive. So, instead my mom spent hours sewing the clothes for my sisters and I. I was hoping the girls would like the gift, but I honestly wasn't completely sure they would love it- being secondhand and all. But it was clear that my worries were completely unfounded as soon as they opened the box. These clothes, made with so much love, have a new life, another chance to be loved!

Audrey got an entire screwdriver set disguised as a solitary hammer.
/she saw it at a store awhile ago and has been hoping for it ever since.
