I still don't think I blog about Andrew enough! He honestly doesn't care to be blogged about all the time anyway, but I still wanted to tell a bit about what's going on for him in our life right now. So, here is a little bit about my wonderful, cheerful, hard working husband and something he enjoys….HIS JOB!
Andrew has a great job on BYU campus. He started out working for a Mechanical Engineer there and really enjoyed the work and great experiences he had there. He recently was able to switch over (because he was sought after- sorry, I must brag) and start working for the Civil Engineering department (which is his major) and he seems to be loving it even more! He talks about it when he comes home, about the projects he's involved in, about his co-workers, his awesome boss, and all the things he's loving learning. He does a lot of his work inside his office but he also goes out and about several times a day to survey things for those projects he's preparing on the computer. One of his all time favorite things seems to be when he has completed a project outline or blueprint or whatever it's called (hey, I'm not the engineer) and he's able to go out and see it in progress. He's been taking classes about this stuff since high school and now he's seeing his work come to life, off the paper, out of the computer, becoming a reality. I never knew someone could get so excited about a parking lot…until I got a husband who comes home talking all about his parking lot and that he was able to go out and watch it get done. Here are some pictures of a recent project he was involved in:
Often he's not allowed to talk about the projects before they are done because of potential conflict of interest issues that might arise. So I'm not really able to blog about his job very often. But just know that it's cool and he works really hard. It's one of the greatest blessings in our life that Andrew is going to school for and has a job in this field he enjoys SO much. I know not everyone has that…so I'm counting our blessings. Words can't express how grateful I am that Andrew is able to pursue what he loves.
