Andrew as a songwriter

One thing I've learned about Andrew since I started living with him is that he likes to make up songs.  Or, rather, he likes to sing the wrong words to songs that already exist.  In fact he rarely ever will actually sing the right words, even if he knows them.  He has gotten pretty good at rhyming, and usually I just laugh at the dumb things he comes up with.  But sometimes when he makes up crazy words to a song I particularly like, I have to look at him very seriously and say "Andrew, can you just sing it normal please?"  Sometimes he does it so absentmindedly that he'll end up doing it to a church song and I can be heard across the hall exclaiming "ANDREW you can't just SAY that!!"  It's never anything terrible, just things you don't expect to hear in the place of 'I am a Child of God.'  Anyways, in the end it is a habit I can tolerate.   I know there are worse habits out there, and I consider myself lucky that this habit of his is one that provides entertainment for me!
The one he came up with last night did just that.  It is probably one of my all time favorites of his creations.  I started singing the "Tuppence" song from Mary Poppins.  It wasn't long before he took over and recreated it.

I was laughing so hard!  The rest of the day that was the way we sung it.  It's definitely not the worst habit in the world, especially when it makes for such an entertaining evening.  The best is when he starts dancing to his songs!
