Halloween 2017

Halloween activities this year consisted of:

Pumpkin carving with Dobbins:

we love when hyrum and j come to town! 

watching arsenic and old lace.  i love that i married into a family that enjoys old movies with me!

then went for a fly up the street of course

after a few weeks they all started to sink dooooooown and change colors!

This year's theme 

PUMPKINS!

I threw together a new tradition this year- a party for just our family!  Hopefully with a different theme every year.  I literally just thought of random activities day of, had some treats ready, and called it a party.  With a 2 and 4 year old and a helpful encouraging willing-to-do-stupid-things-sometimes husband, IT WAS A HIT!

pin the mouth on the jack-o-lantern.  other games were hide and seek with pumpkin flashlights, and a ball bouncing game into pumpkin buckets

pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, and candy

watching room on the broom for our movie with homemade caramel apple cider (easiest crock pot thing ever)

Trick or Treating:

at Waikoloa Assisted Living and Avalon Care Center during the day 

and with the Bennings in Farmington at night

obviously hannah and i are the slowest of any group we are with, which is why i always have more pictures of her at times like this

Other Halloween fun this year:

my cousin becki is home from her mission!  we had her and her siblings over for dinner one night and we were all fighting over beck, adults vs kids.  we al just love her SO MUCH.  sorry romania, you can't have her back.

my girls didn't completely remember her at first...but her attention and sweetness and fun-filled personality soon changed that.  here is her stopping what she's doing to cheer up sad audrey

she is one of the best people i've ever known!!!  so glad to have her back again and only an hour away in provo!

why are they wearing swimsuits in almost winter weather you ask?  because there are three of them now.  the ones who can dress themselves get to wear whatever the heck they want!  (unless we're going out obviously)

i aint no food photographer, but this was our delicious spaghetti squash dinner the other night and i was so proud of it that i had to post about it.  it's SO GREAT when a healthy recipe goes well and tastes awesome!

Oh how I adore these people and this time of year!
