Oh my gosh we've been doing so much stuff. Here is a quick update post (of mostly pictures) so that I can move on to blogging about October and fall!
First, a little bit about my beloved little Hannahlah Ayelen. 7 months old this month and more adorable than ever!
Miss Hannahlah:
- Hates hates hates having her nose or eye wiped (clogged tear
duct)
- Growls like her sister did at this age
- Loves when Daddy comes home...
- ...But is definitely a mama’s girl at every other time of the day. She looks longingly in my direction if I put her down for even a minute and expresses in no uncertain terms that she would like to be picked up again right this second please.
- Loves when Audrey plays with her
- Loves dancing with mommy - Favorite songs: Believe me if all
those endearing young charms- calms her down without fail; Lavender Blue Dilly
Dilly
- Is starting on puffs and solids (delayed on doctor’s orders
because of her acid reflux)
- Enjoys face cuddling.
Yes. Face cuddling. I don’t know what else to call it. Cheek to cheek, nose to nose, mouth to ear
(her mouth, my ear)- she pretty much loves it all.
- Is starting to like being thrown in the air by Daddy- it’s
taken some practice
- Sleeps…okay.
- Is nicknamed Hatannah, Sussannah, and Bobannah by her sister
- Grabs everything in reach and eats it
- Like being outside
- Is still as smiley as ever. Although is beginning to enter the stranger danger phase.
Overall I am ecstatic to report that Hannah seems pretty happy with her life. Which is the greatest compliment she could pay me. So often I feel like I'm not doing well enough at motherhood. But usually she can make me feel like I am. She is a little angel.

Audrey is doing so many big girl things all the time, learning so many new things. She talks every coherently and is developing her imagination like crazy. Lately she's been carrying around this little refrigerator magnet we have and saying (with narrowed eyes, raised brows, and in the highest pitched voice she can muster) "Look Mommy, a little ladybuuuuuug!" She also puts her stuffed animals and dolls to bed constantly throughout the day. I've been scolded on more than one occasion for being too loud while her babies are sleeping. She has a few books memorized that she "reads" word for word every night for bed. I'm going to do a post soon about some of our favorite books recently. Audrey loves to help with dishes, sweeping, and other little chores. And she is SO amazingly helpful with Hannah. This I did not expect. She is so attentive to her when they are sitting and playing while I'm doing housework. She tries to comfort her when she's sad and does all she can to take care of her. There has been no sibling rivalry at all, no resentment or jealousy, or worrying about her place in our family. She has stepped right up the big sister plate and hit it out of the park. I couldn't be more proud or grateful.
