Last minute Halloween

This might possibly be the first year of my life that I did not spend Halloween with Julia. WHAT? I know. That just...doesn't happen. EVER. Until now. It was still a good time though. College parties are a far cry from Trunk-or-Treating. The past three years Julia and I have celebrated with Lacey and Michelle. Other people get thrown into the mix occassionally, but we four are the ones who are consistently together for all the holidays we can't go home for. Since everyone usually comes to stay with me in Salt Lake, this year I made my way to Provo to sleepover Lacey and Michelle's. Another thing we usually try to do is a group costume, but this time there was a difference of opinion. Lacey and I wanted to be something scary, but Jenny said she didn't feel like looking dead...and she didn't want to look 'small.' I think she meant that we would end up looking like we were twelve...but what else is new? Either way the costume each person ended up with suited them just fine. Lacey and I were very happy with our decision (even if it made us look young). We ripped some shirts, squirted some blood, put on crazy make up, ratted our hair, and called ourselves zombies. Jenny and Michelle got some pretty white fabric, gold jewelry and were the lovliest Korean Greek goddesses I have ever seen. They both looked beeeeeeautiful...and Lacey and I both looked ugly. We all accomplished what we set out to! Oh and Marianne was a nerd!
It was a parking lot party/dance. It was pretty fun at first...but the later it gets the more creeps come out. The creeps and the slu...uuhhh...skankily clad girls, I mean!
Actually, come to think of it, I'm pretty sure Julia didn't come for Halloween my first year of college. But she was still part of our Korean pop costume. She was one of the Wondergirls with us, so I think it counts.
I think our costumes turned out pretty well this year...seeing as how we came up with them an hour before. Overall it was great fun and I'm kinda sad to be back in Salt Lake already. Oh well. Halloween is over, which means Christmas is coming! Oh yeah and Thanksgiving....

Dear Hillary, Thank you for stopping and commenting on my blog. I can't believe that we both saw the bagpiper the same day. Sorry we missed you. Every time we go to Salt Lake I am always keeping my eyes open for you but ever see you. Just wishful thinking, I guess. One time we stayed at the Plaza and I sat in the lobby hoping to see you. Next time we are in town we will get in touch if you will let us know where you are staying and maybe a phone number.

Love you Hillary.
