One of the main things in their life right now is our amazing little backyard and some of the friends we share it with! Our new friends the Lincoln family live a few doors down and their four kids have become just like older siblings for Audrey and Hannah. Audrey spends hours, literally hours, running back and forth with them between our house and theirs, playing with toys, swinging on the tree swing, having mini picnics, playing house, basketball, polly pockets, marbles, babies, reading books, having dance parties, eating cherries and other great summer fruits, blowing and chasing bubbles, drawing with sidewalk chalk, and so much more summer fun. Whenever they come to back door and knock Audrey yells, "Guys! You're here!" and Hannah bounces up and down and yells their names (as best she can) with the biggest smile on her face. Then they all go play. The oldest girl is also named Hannah (I think she's 8) and she has become my little friend too. Sometimes when all the kids run outside she'll come inside and just talk to me as I do stuff. It's genuine delight for me. We love the Lincolns!
