Last week my mom and brother came to stay with us to meet and help out with little Hannalah! It was so fun having them here and I feel like I definitely got the relief I needed with my mom here to help me so much. Having an almost 2 year old and a newborn is hard work let me tell you. One of my favorite things about the whole week was that my mom was here to get up with Audrey in the morning! I loved walking out into the living room, once Hannah had woken up, to find the windows open, the sun shining in, Audrey happily talking in her booster seat, and my mom walking around the kitchen making breakfast and getting things ready for the day. All my life just the presence of my mom relieves me.
We did a lot of fun things together while they were here and both of our girls got some good bonding time with Grandma and Uncle Luke. The way Hannah liked to bond with everyone was by throwing up on them. She's been having some acid reflux issues the last few weeks but the week they were here was the worst one of all. In the few days they were here she threw up on me (more than once), Mom, Luke, Andrew, and Ross- everyone in the family except Mariah and Audrey! It's only a matter of time! We've got some medicine for her now, though so they might be off the hook. It seems to have helped her feel better already.
Anyways, we had such a great week with Mom and Luke. We had Easter together complete with an Easter egg hunt, Easter basket surprises and Grandma Chandler's traditional Easter cake. And in our family Easter would not be Easter without Reeses Eggs! Other things we did during the week included a library trip, antique stores, Mariah's birthday and a huge chocolate ice cream cake, Salt Lake City and Temple Square, This is the Place Monument, Homestead Crater in Midway, hanging out on BYU Campus, playing in the snow, movies, music, preschool activities, getting our family ready for our Arizona move for our summer internship, and so much more.
IM SO SAD THEY'RE GONE. I wish they could stay forever. Well, no I wish that BYU could be in California!!! Then we could all be together :). Hopefully someday we will end up somewhere close to our families!!!
